Ah ha --
Eos just sent me my author's copies of the bound galleys of The Sharing Knife, Vol. 4: Horizon, and very pretty they are. Review copies should be going out to all the usual venues. It will be interesting to see how fast they turn up on e-Bay this time...
The galleys (unbound) that I read earlier this month were very clean. There was one place a line dropped out, but it was only some gratuitous landscape, so no one will miss anything critical. There rest were mostly things no one but a proofreader would be likely to notice.
That book does make me happy.
We had considerable editorial back-and-forthing on the final cover copy (which is not what's on the back of the bound galleys -- that's an earlier version.) It might be interesting, later, to do a post with the four successive versions, as an example of how editing really works.
