I see I have about half an hour to still send a Happy New Year to you all. I am pleased to say that, after losing most of December to various distractions, I *have* been writing all week. To what effect, I cannot yet tell: at present the New Thing rather resembles a 500 piece jigsaw puzzle with 550 pieces. But there's a novel in here somewhere, I know.
Four-and-a-half months to KOMARR (publication mid-May, though the official date is June). Don't get too cranked: It's Only A Book. Much as I like raves, I have noted that reviews which raise readerly expectations beyond the power of any book to deliver are, in their own way, as bad for a book as pans.
