August 17-21, attended Renovation the 69th Worldcon held at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, Reno, Nevada USA.

2010

July 1-4, attended CONvergence at the Sheraton Bloomingto Hotel, in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota.

2009

June 19-21, attended the Fourth Street Fantasy Convention as a panelist. To be held at Doubletree Park Place, St Louis Park, Minneapolis.

September 4-7, One of many Guests at Dragon*Con held in Atlanta GA. This is a very large convetion so check the website for the multiple locations.

September 18-20, Guest of Honor at Fencon VI Dallas / Fort Worth Texas. To be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, North Dallas / Addison, 14315 Midway Road, Addison TX 75001.


2008

March 21-23, local writer/panelist at Minicon 43 in Bloomington MN.

August 6-10, Guest of Honor at Denvention 3 the 66th World Science Fiction Convention, held at the Colorado Convention Center and Adams Mark Hotel, Denver, Colorado, USA.

November 26, Keynote Speech, UPC Science Fiction Award at Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain.


2007

August 4-7, Author Guest of Honor at Mythcon 37 the annual conference of the Mythopoeic Society. The conference was held on the University of Oklahoma Campus in Norman, Oklahoma, USA (GoH speech can be found here.

2004

February 20-22, Guest of Honor at ConDFW III, 2004. ConDFW was held at the Radisson Hotel Dallas North in Richardson Texas, just north of Dallas proper.

April 9-11, Minicon 39 in Minneapolis. Lois attended on the Saturday.

May 28-31, Guest of Honour at Balticon 38, at the Wyndham Inner Harbour Hotel, Baltimore MD.

September 2-6, Noreascon Four the 62nd Worldcon, in Boston Massachusetts.

Saturday October 9, the National Book Festival in Washington, DC, sponsored by the Library of Congress.


2003

April 18-21, Emoticon 2003 New Zealand National Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention 2003. Confirmed guests were Lois McMaster Bujold, Diane Duane and Peter Morwood. Send mail to enquiries@emoticon.sf.org.nz

May 23-26, Wiscon 27, in Madison, Wisconsin. Lois attended as a regular attendee and program participant.

June 5, 7:00pm Marion Public Library, Lois was there for a lecture and book signing.  Her appearance was in conjunction with the Marion County Historical Society's Smithsonian exhibit, "Yesterday's Tomorrows:  Past Visions of the American Future"  Please call (740) 382-3951 for more information.

October 10-12, Guest of Honour at Albacon 2003 at the Ramada Inn and Convention Center in downtown Schenctady NY.


2002

January 11-14, "Super Secret Guest" at GAFilk in Atlanta, GA. Also Guests of Honour - Echo's Children.

March 29-31, Program Participant at Minicon 37 in Minneapolis.

April 19-21, Virtual Guest of Honour at VorCon 2002, Moscow, Russia. First "real" convention dedicated solely to Lois. Guest of Honor, editor-in-chief of the AST publisher, Nikolai Naumenko.

April 26-28. Guest of Honor at Sferakon 2002 Zagreb, Croatia. Due to ill health Mary Gentle could not make it as Co-Guest. Note the website is currently only available in Croatian. English language contact is Vlatko Juric-Kokic. A con report by Lois is available.

29 August-2 September, Program Participant at ConJose, the 60th World Science Fiction Convention, took place at the McEnery Convention Center, San Jose, California.

October 4-6, Guest of Honor at Trinoc*con 2002 Durham, NC,

October 31-November 3, World Fantasy Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Lois herself attended, as did Pat Wrede. Lois was nominated for the World Fantasy Award for Best Novel.


2001

January 12-14, Writer Guest of Honor at Arisia 2001 Boston, Massachusetts. Fan Guest of Honor - Wombat. The convention was held at the Park Plaza in Boston, MA. The hotel is one short block south from the Arlington T-stop on the Green Line.

April 13-15. Program Participant at Minicon 36 in Minneapolis.

August 30 - September 3, Programming Participant at the WorldCon, The Millennium Philcon, Philadelphia, PA. Held at Pennsylvania Convention Center and Philadelphia Marriott Hotel.

November 9-11, Guest of Honor at Tropicon XX, Florida.


2000

May 5-7, Lois was the Guest of Honor at Demicon XI in Des Moines. This was organised by the Des Moines Science Fiction Society. Held at University Park Holiday Inn.

July 12-16, Writer Guest at AsturCon - the 2000 HispaCon, The Spanish Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention, part of the 14th Semana Negra of Gijon (July 7th - 16th), Gijon, Asturias, Spain.

July 28-30, Guest of Honor at Diversicon 8, Holiday Inn Express - Bandanda Square, 1010 W Bandana Blvd, St Paul, MN.
Special Guest: Laurel Winter; Posthumous Guest of Honor: Leigh Brackett.
Diversicon 8 was the host of the 2000 James Tiptree, Jr., Award Ceremonies.

September 23-25, Guest of Honor, Congress of Russian Science Fiction Writers, St. Petersburg, Russian Federation. Their publishing house, Terra Fantastica publishes all news regarding the Congress and offical information can be from them (in Russian, of course).

November 1-3, Lois was speaking at the West Virginia Library Association's annual meeting in Charleston, WVa. The meeting was at the Holiday Inn, Charleston House. Her talk and a booksigning were planned to be open to the public.


1999

Lois was Guest of Honor at Confusion 1999, the website was currently under construction.

April 22, Lois was at a signing, held at Pandemonium Books & Games, 36 JFK Street, Cambridge, MA 02138. Phone: (617) 547-3721, email: general@pandemoniumbooks.com, on Thursday, afternoon from 3-5pm.
After the signing she was lecturing and reading with Melissa Scott at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It took place on Thursday evening from 7 to 10pm at 70 Massachusetts Ave., Room 10-250. The event was open to the public but was liable to be packed.
